Role Summary:
The HR Officer will play a key role in the day-to-day administration of core HR functions, supporting talent management, employee relations, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment, with a keen understanding of the nuances of managing highly skilled professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including onboarding and documentation
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS updates
Coordinate training, performance management, and appraisal cycles
Support employee engagement, retention, and welfare initiatives
Handle employee queries and support conflict resolution in line with firm protocols
Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulatory filings, and internal standards
Assist with HR reporting, analytics, and administrative duties as required
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
3–5 years of HR experience in a law firm or professional services firm (desirable)
Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR practices in Nigeria
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in MS Office and HR systems
Membership of CIPM or progress towards certification is an added advantage
